Rename or delete a video

Who this guide is for

Creators who want to change a video's title or remove a video and its captions.

Prerequisites

• You are signed in and have at least one video.

Step-by-step instructions

Where to find it: Videos › <video title>

Rename a video

1. Open the video from Videos.
2. Select Rename next to the title.
3. Type the new title and select Save. Select Cancel to keep the old title.

Delete a video

1. Open the video from Videos.
2. In the side panel, select Delete video.
3. Select Yes, delete it to confirm, or Keep it to stop.

Important: Deleting removes the file, its transcript and its captions for good. A video cannot be deleted while it is In line or Captioning.

Expected result

After renaming, the new title shows on the video page and in Videos. After deleting, you return to Videos and the video is gone.

Common questions / troubleshooting

The Delete video button is greyed out. The video is being captioned. Wait until captioning finishes, then delete it.

Can I get a deleted video back? No. Upload the file again if you need it.
